The façade of the extension and the winter garden features horizontal timber cladding aligned with the existing oval shingles. The roof and timber cladding visually connect the chalet and the extension into a single building. The extension accommodates the entrance area and ancillary spaces, with a hayloft above. In the chalet, the interior walls were removed to create a large, flowing living and dining space. A central stair unit organises and subdivides the main room. On the basement level, two bedrooms and a bathroom are arranged around the staircase.
