The primary school, built in 1902, forms the entrance to the village centre together with the church and symbolises the growing importance of education. The extension integrates harmoniously into the existing school complex and contributes to its densification. The extension adopts the spatial typology of the existing building and creates synergies between the school and kindergarten. The timber post-and-beam construction allows for flexible changes of use and provides space for future adaptations. By employing sustainable construction methods, the life-cycle costs are reduced while supporting the flexibility of the building.
