New senior apartments were built near the historic centre of Sempach. Two detached buildings in the same architectural language define an intermediate space through their placement, clearly establishing the entrance situation. Both buildings are constructed in fair-faced concrete with sandblasted façades articulated by horizontal joints. The new development comprises a total of 15 apartments. The floor plans, circulation, and material palette were tailored to the needs of older residents. The residents benefit from three-sided daylighting of the living and dining areas, as well as loggias open on two sides.
